In short: Photobiomodulation using red and near-infrared light affects autonomic nervous system functions, the circadian rhythm, and melatonin production to promote falling asleep and deeper sleep. It reduces oxidative stress in the brain and regulates the parasympathetic nervous system. The recommended usage is 4 to 6 sessions per week for 4 to 6 weeks, ideally in the evening before bedtime; some effects can be felt after just 2 to 3 sessions.

Instructions for use

  • Do 4 to 6 sessions per week for 4 to 6 weeks

  • LED panels for the face or upper body (20 minutes)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can photobiomodulation replace melatonin?

It doesn't replace it, but it stimulates the body's natural production of melatonin and helps better synchronize the body's internal clock.

How long does it take to feel the effects?

Some people sleep better after 2 or 3 sessions. However, a lasting effect is often seen after 2 to 3 weeks.

Can it be used for chronic insomnia?

Yes, but preferably under a doctor's supervision. PBM can be a useful supplement to a comprehensive treatment plan (sleep, stress, lifestyle).
