Photobiomodulation Is Now Covered Under Wellness Care Reimbursement

Until now, patients have had to pay out of pocket for photobiomodulation (PBM) sessions. Social security does not cover this type of treatment, and few traditional health insurance plans offer coverage for it.

How can I get reimbursed for my PBM sessions?

The process remains simple for subscribers:

1. You book and complete your PBM session at a center equipped with a Body Boost Bed.
2. You can send your invoice to Elsee from the app.
3. Elsee verifies eligibility for the benefit.
4. You will be reimbursed at the rate specified in your plan, up to your annual limit.

The reimbursement is covered by your Elsee subscription, not by the center. In other words, you are responsible for a portion of the cost of your sessions each year.

Which sessions are eligible?

To be reimbursed by Elsee, a service must meet certain conditions:

• It is not available by prescription only.
• It addresses wellness needs such as stress, sleep, recovery, and athletic preparation or recovery.
• It can also support women through specific life stages such as fertility, pregnancy, the postpartum period, or menopause.
• Reservations and sales are available online.

Elsee Subscription Plans

To be eligible for reimbursement, you must have an annual subscription, which is available in three plans. The more comprehensive the plan, the higher the annual reimbursement limit.

• Peace: €39 per month (€468 per year), with up to €740 reimbursed per year.
• Care: €69 per month (€828 per year), with up to €1,320 reimbursed per year.
• Serenity: €99 per month (€1,188 per year), with up to €1,900 reimbursed per year.

These coverage limits apply to all eligible treatments: alternative medicine, dietary supplements, therapeutic exercise, mental health, and your PBM session packages.

How can I get a refund as a subscriber?

If you want to get reimbursed for your PBM sessions, simply sign up for an Elsee plan.

Visit elsee.care/get-my-offer to choose your plan. Once you've subscribed, your photobiomodulation sessions will be included among the treatments covered by your subscription, up to your annual limit.

Are you a photobiomodulation center?

If your center offers PBM sessions, you can register your facility with the Elsee network.

Your member clients will then be eligible for reimbursement for their packages, and your center will appear in the directory of partner practitioners, visible to a community already committed to their health.
